Media Player of Choice

Beberapa post ke belakang saya buat sebelum blog di publish di internet. Namun, beberapa hari ini saya jarang menulis post baru. Absen menulis post ini dikarenakan kesibukan dalam pembuatan artikel dan juga persiapan peluncuran website baru.
Sekarang saya mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menulis post baru. Kali ini, saya akan membahas mengenai MP3 player yang saya gunakan. Selama bertahun-tahun saya menggunakan Winamp sebagai Weapon of Choice dalam memainkan media MP3. Winamp memiliki kelebihan-kelebihannya sendiri. Selama saya menggunakannya banyak keuntungan yang saya dapatkan.
Setelah saya bekerja di CHIP, saya mulai mengganti Winamp dengan Foobar. Foobar, menurut para pakar audio adalah media player yang sederhana namun sangat powerful. Foobar mudah dikustomisasi dan memiliki sejumlah plugin yang menarik.
Saya tidak mendapatkan masalah yang berarti selama saya menggunakan Foobar. Plugin DSP nya juga sangat bermanfaat dalam mengoptimalkan soundcard saya. Foobar juga tergolong ringan, tidak memakan banyak memori.
Selain Foobar saya juga menggunakan iTunes, sebuah media player keluaran Apple. Saya menggunakan iTunes sebagai media player untuk mengorganisasikan mp3 saya ke dalam library miliknya. Dengan iTunes koleksi MP3 saya dapat tertata rapi. Alasan lain saya menggunakan iTunes adalah untuk mensinkronisasikan mp3 di hard disk dengan iPod saya. Dengan iTunes, proses penyalinan mp3 ke iPod menjadi lebih mudah dilakukan.
Tadi pagi saya meng-upgrade iTunes ke versi terbarunya, saya memutuskan untuk perlahan-lahan menggunakan iTunes, dan perlahan-lahan meninggalkan Foobar. Alasannya? karena menurut saya, musik yang saya dengarkan bisa lebih terorganisir dengan menggunakan iTunes. Meskipun iTunes termasuk program yang banyak memakan memori, tapi iTunes datang dengan feature lengkap untuk menikmati file multimedia, baik itu audio maupun video.
Sekarang saya menggunakan Foobar hanya sebagai alat untuk melakukan preview terhadap mp3 yang baru datang. Foobar sangat ringan dan mudah di-load, sehingga berguna untuk mendengarkan file mp3 secara singkat.

Okay, life must go on, right? So with the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda and the recent festive of Pesta Blogger 2007. I officially announce that:
It's just around the corner, not very far away.
The reason? Well you can say that I'm getting bored with Wordpress and I want to try something new. But trust me, I won't move it anywhere else in the future, I will use patvandiest.com as my main blog, always. I promise you that!
So please... please update your bookmark, I will forever graceful if you do that. But if you are reading my blog through my Feedburner account, worry not, I will automatically update the link. That goes to my other social networking related link.
I won't delete this blog, though. I will keep it as past archives of my writings.
