[APRICOT 2007] All Wireless

Satu hal yang menarik dari APRICOT 2007 ini adalah “Wi-Fi is in the air”. Koneksi internet di areal APRICOT 2007 ini didukung oleh beberapa pemain seperti XL, Indosat, Laxo dan juga Proxim.
Menurut berita, sudah lebih dari 28 Mbps yang dihabiskan pada acara APRICOT kali ini. Namun, saya mencobanya dengan laptop, tidak terlihat besarnya kapasitas bandwidth yang saya dapat pada saat saya coba mendownload sesuatu (“sesuatu” disini legal loh!). Mungkin, karena banyaknya peserta yang tersambung ke jaringan pada saat yang bersamaan. Yah, memang tidak lelet sih. Cukup oke lah.
Pemandangan yang unik terlihat di sepanjang area Anda dapat melihat banyak orang sibuk dengan laptop mereka tersambung ke Internet. Namun, saya melihat jumlah kontak listrik yang ada sangat terbatas sehingga banyak dari mereka yang hanya bergantung pada batere notebook mereka. Saya sendiri mengalami kesulitan mencari kontak listrik yang dapat digunakan untuk laptop saya.
Permasalahan ini terpecahkan pada saat saya mengunjugi auditorium tempat konferensi. Disana, kontak listrik tersedia dalam jumlah banyak, dan dibantu dengan bentuk tempat duduk menyerupai bioskop, saya dapat menikmati internet dengan tenang sambil menyimak konferensi yang sedang berlangsung.

Okay, life must go on, right? So with the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda and the recent festive of Pesta Blogger 2007. I officially announce that:
It's just around the corner, not very far away.
The reason? Well you can say that I'm getting bored with Wordpress and I want to try something new. But trust me, I won't move it anywhere else in the future, I will use patvandiest.com as my main blog, always. I promise you that!
