Sennheiser MX55: My New iPod Companion
September 24, 2007
A week ago, I had a disaster moment; my lovely iPod ear bud cord has been cut accidentally. I was so devastated with it. I know I have the PX100 in home abd use it occasionally with the iPod. But, I can’t use that while I’m cycling, I had always relied on my old ear bud. Now that it has gone, I had to find another good earphone to suits my needs.
After a brief inquiry to Jimmy (with his signature question: “how much is your budget?”) I set myself to buy the lovely Sennheiser MX 55. This is the perfect choice. Not only it goes along with my budget (thanks Jim), this series give me something I always wanted, a mechanism that can firmly adjust the ear bud with my ear. It has the “Twist-to-fit” system that assures a firm bud in your ear. So long, facial cotton!
In the first test, the sound is so-so, nothing special in particular; But this is only the first test, maybe I should burn-in it first for a better sound quality.
Why Sennheiser? I have good experience using the PX 100 series, so I have faith with this product. This MX 55 series is a street earphone, so it matches my needs on using it with the iPod while I’m cycling. Can’t wait to try it tomorrow morning.

- # - And so begin the brick wars! On the axis side, it's Steve Jobs and its Apple. The Allied side consists of peoples who unlocked their iPhone. But nooo, they're not the only ones. According to Scoble, some regular iPhone user has the same problem too after the update that Apple released. It's getting hotter now. :) - #
