iPod Touch Unlock?

Meneruskan pembahasan tentang iPod Unlocking kemarin, saya ingin membahas sedikit mengenai kemungkinan modifikasi iPod Touch. Seperti yang telah diberitakan, iPod Touch merupakan versi iPod keluaran terbaru dari Apple. iPod Touch ini mengambil bentuk dan fungsionalitas yang hampir mirip dengan iPhone. Yang membedakan hanya fungsi komunikasinya saja.
Nah, bayangkan jika iPod Touch ini dapat di-unlock juga dan dapat diisi dengan program-program 3rd party yang menarik. Tentu sangat menyenangkan bukan?
Ide ini sudah tercetus oleh seorang hacker dengan nama “Martyn”. Ia mengoprek sebuah iPod Touch yang sudah rusak dan berusaha mempelajari data di dalam chip iPod tersebut. Hacker tersebut berhasil mengekstrak kode di dalam iPod Touch.
Ia kemudian mengirimkan kode tersebut pada suatu folder khusus di servernya. Sayangnya, Apple entah bagaimana berhasil menemukan praktek ini dan menuntut agar kode ini dihapus karena bertentangan dengan hukum.
Apple tampaknya sangat berhati-hati sekali dalam menjaga gadgetnya ini agar tidak mudah dimodifikasi pihak lain. Namun, cepat atau lambat praktek modifikasi pasti akan terjadi, Kalian tidak akan dapat menahan kreativitas orang, Apple! Biarkanlah hal ini terjadi secara alamiah.
Saya sendiri tidak terlalu tertarik dengan iPod Touch ini. Tetapi kalau nanti gadget tersebut dapat dimodifikasi menjadi sesuatu yang lucu, mungkin saya akan berubah pikiran. :)

Okay, life must go on, right? So with the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda and the recent festive of Pesta Blogger 2007. I officially announce that:
