Hi, i am Patrick Gerard van Diest. A one-time Web-developer/administrator/online journalist. I worked at this small, unknown, low profile IT magazine in Indonesia called CHIP, never heard of it? oh well. I maintain it’s forum by the way.
Hmm….want to know more? what are you, gossip journalist or something? well what else should I tell you, mmm I have a beautiful girlfiend, three cute dogs and a nice slick bicycle. Haven’t I told you that I love bicycle? yeah well, I do love bicycle, and Linux too (it’s actually not related, but whatever, carry on).

This is a weblog about me. It has some not-so interesting things that I like to write, from all kinds of stuffs, well most of it are ordinary everyday things but ocasionally I wrote tech related material too.

Why
Because sometimes i got bored doing my daily work and I find that writing about things is so much fun.

It started back in 2004, when I was still using Blogger.
How
Well first I open my text-editor of choice, wrote something up and if it got links, put it up where it’s approriate, copy-paste it to the Wordpress editor (yeah, I use Wordpress by the way), then publish it, it’s that simple…

Okay, life must go on, right? So with the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda and the recent festive of Pesta Blogger 2007. I officially announce that:
It's just around the corner, not very far away.
The reason? Well you can say that I'm getting bored with Wordpress and I want to try something new. But trust me, I won't move it anywhere else in the future, I will use patvandiest.com as my main blog, always. I promise you that!
So please... please update your bookmark, I will forever graceful if you do that. But if you are reading my blog through my Feedburner account, worry not, I will automatically update the link. That goes to my other social networking related link.
I won't delete this blog, though. I will keep it as past archives of my writings.
